Upcoming Radio Show

Healing the Grieving Heart

Healing the Grieving Heart

I am very excited to announce my upcoming radio show. Details for listening are above, and more details about the archived version of the broadcast will be on my other blog. Drs. Gloria and Heidi Horsley host the show boasting 50,000 listeners on the broadcast, and I am very excited to be a part of this show and talking about the timely topic of grief. Even if a person is not grieving a loss currently, chances are one will at some point and it is better to know what to expect than not. Also, it is useful information for those interested in helping their grieving friends in a constructive way. If you’ve been wanting to know a little more of my message, then this is a great way to find out more about me and what my message about grief and bereavement is really all about.

On a different note, I am now offering signed copies for sale, so please click below on the “buy now” button if you’d like to purchase one for yourself or for a gift to a grieving friend or to someone who wishes to help grieving people through professional or lay ministry/counseling efforts.

SYNOPSIS OF MY BOOK

Credit Strategic Book Publishing

At the end of one life, a new journey begins for those who have to live without their loved one. Walking through the Valley of the Shadow of Death helps those left behind “survive” death.

Walking through the Valley of the Shadow of Death is a book about one of the most uncomfortable subjects that people will face – death. Written from a Christian perspective, it explores the anatomy of grief, bereavement and what people around those who have experienced the death of a loved one may be looking for from their friends. Delving into what the Bible teaches about grief, and what friends of survivors can do to effectively minister to those grieving, the book’s practical guidelines will help both the grief stricken and those trying to help bereaved friends and family overcome their loss.

About the Author

Kimberly Rose Carolan resides in Washington with her husband, Joseph. She and Joseph are involved at their church, Mars Hill, and volunteer at the Salvation Army. When not writing, Kimberly enjoys playing music and being outdoors in the Pacific Northwest hiking, camping, kayaking, and gardening.

In the author’s own words:

I was inspired to write this book because of the experience our family went through as we entered into a new world of grief after my father’s death to cancer. Before my father died, I had assumed that grief was a simple process involving a few weeks of tears. I truly had no idea that it would turn our world upside down! Upon talking with others who had lost loved ones, I started to see commonalities that existed within grief. I wanted to write this book to help others understand the process of grief holistically. Additionally, I wanted to help people know how to help encourage their grieving friends and family since most people want to help, but they do not know how, practically speaking.
